I'd say it's more a consequence than a punishment. As with all things we do, there are consequences to not being responsible. Like driving, drinking, smoking, etc.

Abortion bothers me, not because I feel bad for the dead babies, but because it shows a serious lack of responsibility for one's own actions.
If you're going to have sex, there's a chance that it will lead to a baby; if you don't want a baby, then don't have sex. If you willingly engage in an activity that might produce a child, then be prepared to take care of a child.
And for those people who would say, would you rather have a child raised by irresponsible parents that don't want it? NO! Take some fucking responsibility for yourself and take good care of your child. Chances are that you probably would have wanted one in a few years anyways.
And I vote that we start referring to abortion as "Feticide".

Holy crap. I agree with you. (For once!) However, I am a realist and people are heathens. I've never been put in that position, but I would have an incredibly hard time having an abortion for the sake of personal responsibility (I don't care about dead babies either), but I think they should still be legal. There are a LOT of irresponsible people that won't take care of their little punishments. When abortion was illegal, people had unsafe backalley abortions.
People should have to earn the right to have kids. Put birth control in the water, and when people pass tests they can buy government clean water. Eugenics, maybe. Responsibility, absolutely!

Since i know we are all reasonable people let me try and reason so that i can be clear on my position.
I believe that an abortion is killing a baby. Thats it, no one can convince me other wise. I mean, just by looking at that picture, we see how fragile and how beautiful human life can be. I think the picture resembles a view that we have the world in our hands. I believe that it is my obligation to speak up for those that cannot, in this case, unborn babies. Killing a baby for our own convenience is wrong and i will always be against it. The baby is innocent and has no choice as to whether he lives or dies. I mean, im sure glad i wasnt aborted because i love life.
You say that i cant support a war and be against abortion. I really don't see the argument in that. In one case two nations or states go to war over territory, ideology, etc... In the other, an unborn baby, which has no faults is unjustly handed a death sentence.
Why is it ridiculous to support the war against the Nazis who were committing mass genocide and being against killing an unborn baby? I dont know if you are trying to say that the baby, before its born, is as guilty as a war criminal. Im sure you dont mean that, but im still trying to figure out why i cant be against abortion and support a war at the same time.

Regardless of the reason one goes to war, it should never be something that anyone is in support of. I suppose there is a subtle but important difference in not supporting something and being against something.
I'm against abortion, but I don't believe that it is my right to stop others from having abortions. I would greatly prefer if abortion were referred to as feticide, I think that it would cause people to look at it a different way.
I'm not a supporter of war, it doesn't mean that I'm against "war". I may be against "a war", but not the concept itself. I realize that at some points in time war is a convenient way to solve a problem, but it's always tragic.

If I recall correctly, you consider yourself a christian, isn't a baby born with sin? Isn't sin a fault?

children are a punishment to the whole entire world, not just those who accidentally get pregnant because of either some fluke or some other such thing.
overpopulation sucks and seriously, we've leeched off this planet for way too long. i say we encourage abortions and make the clinics much more accessible and possibly shave off much of the fee for it. the stigma associated with abortions and those who decide to go through with one is just ridiculous, people have been having abortions since the beginning of time.

I wouldn't consider assisted euthanasia to be murder, but I don't think it's right. Usually people who want to die unless they're old and have no purpose to live) need mental help anyways so helping them would be stupid.

No, because everyone's seriously debating abortion (which is a universal lame ass discussion) on a funny ha-ha picture.
And the go jess go, was more or less an egging on. I do agree that the world is massivly populated and a lot of people have babies because they are egoists, but I wouldn't go so far as to support abortion because of those reasons. And I am an egoist and I may want a little me one day, or I may do the altruistic thing and adopt. WHO KNOWS. I'm not planning on being in a abortion/adoption/birthing role for QUITE a while (hope not the abortion role ever...).
