Enduro Karting

Enduro Racing is held on large asphalt road courses. Most competitors use lay down style karts that test the driver and machine endurance. Karts are very fast and are raced on big tracks such as Seattle Intl. Raceway, Portland Intl. Raceway, as well as tracks like Daytona Intl. Speedway, Road America, Charolotte, Texas, California, Las Vegas, Bristol, Talladega, Infernio, and Watkins Glen. Races also include countries such as Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, and Austrialia. Races typically last 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Due to the high speeds, competitors are usually experienced drivers. Enduros are not recommended for novices because of the speeds involved. Typical speeds are 95 MPH for piston port 100cc stock motors to 175+ MPH for 250cc Super Karts.
Because BEKC will be running Fun Races on "short" courses in Boeing parking lots. Most enduro karts will be at a disadvantage compared to Sprint Karts. This does not mean that they can not be fun, they most certainly will. They may require a gear change considering the length of the course.
These Karts cost up to $12,000 race ready. As for new teams prices can vary and broken down as followed. $4000 for the engine, $6000 for the chassis, $250 per set of tires, and any where from $200-$1000 for the body, made out of plastic or fiber glass.
