i imagine they get uglier as they grow bigger....but then again im just being a pessimist...i like kitty cats i would only want a hedgehog as long as he looked like that forever !

I had one named Sonic (of course, I was 8). The others I don't recall.  I did buy them in Tampa/Brandon; my first two at the state fair. And no, they only get cuter as they grow.

ill be damned if those things are cheap. i remember way back when i wanted one and they were too expensive so my mom "bought" me this shitty guinea pig for free from a co-worker who realized how shitty it was to have more than one guinea pig in their house. its name was Buttons and loved it but neglected it. i never washed the thing and its long hair soon became soiled and made thick nasty dreads. it smelled so bad.
