To me, they don't look like Perculas they look like Ocellaris.

I say this because the black shading is too narrow. A True Percula has much thicker black bands and is generally a brighter orange than an Ocellaris.

Hey, I could always be wrong though. I never claimed to actually be intelligent. lol

Edit - I need to clarify, I am in no way trying to demean your fishies. True or False Perculas, they are still adorable.

Joe may be correct, those look more like ocellaris (false perculas). Tru perculas usually have a bit more red and the white stripes are faded with more black. They also cost, on average, $10 more than the ocellaris. However, those are nicer looking ocellaris than most I have seen It is a tough call. What did you pay for them? That will be the true test.

I paid umm I think $18 each for them... but the Guy who owns the store said they were Perculas... so I'm going with what he said. But who knows... they are great and they actually lie down on the sand to sleep it is so cute. Then again sometimes tank bred perculas aren't as dark and such... but I think these guys are still pretty young, too... and don't the black lines increase with age? But alas, what they are really doesn't matter... Yes, Joe, they are adorable... and have awesome personalities... so I'm happy!

Update- The maroon has been removed from the tank.

He was PURE EVIL!!!!!!! I will not tolerate excessive evilness in my tank.

But now all the other fish are happy!
