Is it possible that the guy working on the locks just left the door open and didn't know there was a dog in the house?
I'm not suggesting you give your apartment number or anything, but it probably wouldn't hurt to say what apartment complex you live in so that people who live around you might keep an eye out.

She was gated in the bathroom with my door to my room closed. The only way she could have gotten out the front door is if he took her out of the bathroom and left both doors open. Its possible but highly unlikely.
I live in Jefferson Commons building 7 apt 202.

So sorry sbout your dog. Does JC allow pets? If not, the office staff may know where she is if the mait. guy gave her to them. Call his company and report it to the police.

It wasnt the handyman at JC who was doing the locks, it was a company. She didnt "run away" unless he physically took her out of the bathroom and placed her outside. I contacted Jefferson, it doesnt matter what they stole they still stole something. Maintainance wouldnt have just taken the dog, if they felt inclined they would tell the office and the office would give me a warning or a fine or something.
