i finished my rehab in 3 weeks, dr. said it was 90% as strong it was going to be. i was back to running and weightlifting(squating) within 2 months.

Daaaaaaaaaamn, I have had TWO ACL surgeries (as well as on my MCL, and meniscus) and my knee never looked like that... did you have orthoscopic surgery done... or what???

yeah, they used my patella tendon to replace my acl and held it in with a few screws

man, I just had a similar surgery...and my scar isnt nearly as big, thank god. Therapy is taking too damn long, though. I need to invest in some ankle weights. *le sigh*

To be honest, that looks like the scar of a total knee replacement rather than an ACL repair.
Why didn't they elect to do it arthroscopically?

does it cost much more than regular orthopidic? because I didn't have any money to pay for it the two football insurance companies bailed out and started saying I only get 2k from both of them together. the dr. that did it cut his price down a lot and did it for almost nothing, but someone else ended up paying him for me. and i had to get other people to help pay for the actual hospital bill which i heard was around 30k
