Yep, it was the only way. And the funny part was that after I took a drink from my beer, the excess around the brim started to crystalize immediately.

You may call them goofy, I would call them warm. Up north when it's that cold no one cares if it looks goofy or not, as long as you can keep yourself warm.

so then why do they make ski/snowboarding helmet covers???
They look goofy but they don't keep you any more warm than the helmet itself. I guess they just want to look goofy.

I'm from Jacksonville, surprisingly, but I lived up in Lake Placid, NY for half a year when I was on the US Olympic team for Rhythmic Gymnastics. You can say that I'm not "used" to the cold, but I just go out and enjoy the time in the cold and try not to think about how cold it really is. ..Plus I have perfected the term of layering.
oh and Bugger...no one ever said that you had to wear "goofy" hats or covers, but don't ruin someone else's day of fun just because they aren't wearing something cool to your standards.

oh, don't get me wrong. I have a fine collection of goofy hats as well. Most being winter hats.
And if the hat isn't goofy, i'm goofy enough to make up the difference. I think the hats are goofy to make things more exciting b/c during the gray depressing winters, sometimes a goofy hat is all you have. I think that's why they make winter clothes such loud colors as well. Try and brighten up someone's day.

I have a bunch too. When I go up north it's depresing to see people all wearing black, gray, brown, or ugly beige colored clothes. I tend to get looks because, being from Florida, I have a colorful array of clothes. No dull times with Missy...
