thx...we took video of that day, the waves were sick. That was the first time I pulled back on a wave cause when I was about to catch it, I looked down and it scared the shit out of me. Once you catch the first one you get so stoked that you can't wait to catch the next one.

lol i know the feeling, we've had a couple 8-10 foot swells in CB and when you look up, the wave looks sooo much bigger then 10 feet.. and theyre harsher in costa, lot of sharks too. from what ive heard

yeah...I made the mistake of looking in the water one time and saw a big shadow swimming around me so I decided that I wasn't going to look in the water anymore. I figured since there were so many surfers around me that the chances of me getting bit by a shark were pretty small. They'd probably get someone with a little more meat on them. Plus the waves were too good to get out of the water.

I got plans of stay out there for a month and just surf, and if i run out of money, i'll crash at my grandmothers place. I've yet to surf my homeland ... but I will!
